Markmark is one of Britain’s leading festival and street theatre companies.
Formed in 1990 it continues to develop new and creative performances for many different audiences.
Markmark are proud to be theatre company in residence at The Civic Barnsley. The Civic has a great reputation for programming and producing high quality performances including physical theatre, dance, circus and a wide range of family shows.
We’re currently working with Darlington Council and Outdoor Arts UK developing socially distanced street theatre projects.
Trained by Jacques Lecoq and Philippe Gaulier the actors use a variety of techniques that bring an intuitive, anarchic yet charming humour to all their work.
